The Definitive Guide to Support for the RS MediaPosted by RoboCommunity Team on Wednesday, 28 March 2007
The RS Media is the next evolution in the Robosapien line beyond the Robosapien V2. It has essentially the same body as the V2, but a different brain based on a Linux kernel. The focus of the RS Media is on multimedia capabilities, including the ability to record and playback audio, pictures and video. Its personality can be modified (completely customized) as well.
This is a quick guide to getting support for your RS Media. As the RS Media is released around the world, we will keep this page up-to-date with the latest support information about our newest multimedia robot friend.
Your First Line of Defense: RoboCommunity
The first thing you'll want to do is visit the RS Media home page here on RoboCommunity . There is a bunch of information there, including resource links and links to all the RS Media related content on the site. These lists are displayed as Recent Content (the very latest!), and as Top Content. Top Content is listed in order from most-to-least important, as determined by the site's intelligent scoring engine.
However, before you scroll through content lists, try searching to get your question answered.
And if that fails, [old link was titled 'V2 Forum' and went to old forum topic] ask a question in the RS Media forum. RoboCommunity is filled with knowledgable folks who can help you. And don't forget to make suggestions on how the RS Media can be improved. WowWee would love to know.
Second Line of Defense: WowWee Support
Visit WowWee's support page for technical support questions other users can't help you with. There you'll find the RS Media manual, the latest version of the Media Suite software, and frequently asked questions.
Your last line of defense is to send your questions directly to WowWee support, but make sure you've exhausted the other options described here first.
Here's a brief reference of other information you might find useful for your RS Media...
