How I Replaced Roboquad's Eyes and Mouth Part 3: The Videos

Editor's note:

In Part 1 of this incredible series, our fearless hacker RobosapienV2-4mem8 cracks open the Roboquad exoskeleton. Is this alien dissection from Area 51? Nah, but it sure looks like it.

Then in Part 2, the exploration continues -- complete with photo close ups of electronic innards.

Now, here in our final Part 3, RobosapienV2-4mem8 shares videos he has taken of final results. Meticulous work and careful documentation. Don't miss a second!

The hacks I attempted were to replace the two outer LED's with 16,000mcd white one's for better coverage. Then replace the four annimation LED's with two yellow 8,000mcd for the sides and two blue 8,000 for the front and back. This will also give more bright coverage in the vicinity of Roboquad.

The next hack I worked on is single blue 8,500mcd LED for the mouth.

Now judge for yourself....

Here are the Videos:

the hacking is very cool but the videos are too similar.

The LED's have different sequences gugus651, some are subtle, that's why there are 5 videos.

What about some ultraviolet or laser diodes?

Hey Luv,

VERY GOOD HACK. However I did notice that in all of the photo only pages, there were several photos that will not show up no matter what I do. Also, do you mind if anyone saves your articles and vidieos for future refferance?

Also. In your article, you had said you were going to be using a blue "bar graph" type of LED for quad's mouth. Why did you change your mind on this one Luv and go to a single blue LED?
