I recorded this demonstration of the Robopanda presented by one of the helpful WowWee folks at CES Unveiled. While this event was only open to the press, it was still quite a task getting a few minutes to do the filming; there were a lot of people who wanted to see the new WowWee bots.

It's a bird, it's a plane... it's a Lightstar?  Cheesy, I know, but that's what you'll say to yourself the first time you fire up this innovative flying wing and see its colorful neon lights spinning in mid-air.  It's definitely very UFO-like, and while it's a simple flyer with only vertical movement, the Lightstar is a blast to fly and play...

Back in the day, the WowWee Dragonfly was all the rage; and most likely still is in many circles.  It was a high quality ornithopter (airborne craft with flapping wings) and featured simple controls paired with a rugged, crash resistant design.  Folks loved their Dragonflies, creating everything from various hacks, to videos of in-flight...

As many of us were disappointed in the poor picture quality in low light situations when using Rovio, I decided to put a set of custom headlights on my Rovio.  I viewed some of the hacks posted on the community, but decided to have mine move in tandem with the camera.  With that design, the lighting would follow the angle of the camera.

Robosapien is the original (V1) humanoid bipedal robot from WowWee. He speaks fluent International Caveman, and is equipped with 3-finger gripper hands. He also comes in a variety of flavors including Homer Sapien and Spider Sapien.
