Wrex the Dawg: problem with wheels!

After a couple of years of thoughts and search i finally have Wrex the Dawg. I love his unique "dieselpunk" design and personality.

But as soon as i took him out of the box, i found a problem - he can't move around! Everything else is working - rolling eyes, commands, ears and etc. Except wheels.

They spin only when you holding him up, the motor is working. When you put him down on any surface, he stops working, the motor makes sounds like it trying to do something but there is not enough "power" to move Wrex around.

At first i thought it's the problem with batteries, but even the best one couldn't make him move.

Here, i even made a video showing the problem, i hope it will help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01ieGHwjpJI

Please, it seems that this place is the only one that can help since there are a lot of robot experts! (which is not me, i love unique interactive robots but i have no idea how to fix them and how exactly they work!) Im not even interested in returning my money as much as i care about fixing him! Wrex is my favorite from WowWee series.

Thank you for a quick answer!
Yes they have tiny wheels. Only back leg-wheels have mechanism while forelegs have just simple plastic wheels attached.
It's weird that his wheels can't take his weight... Not even just weight - if you gently put your finger against moving wheels-they qhickly stop like the motor don't have enough power to work (that's why i thought it's a battery problem first).
PS:
I don't know if this might help but i was googling for this problem and found this Wrex Mini having exact same thing with his back legs: http://www.amazon.com/review/RWJJ3L3MXFCH2/ref=cm_cr_dp_title?ie=UTF8&AS...

"The little bit of friction between the wheels and the hardwood floor was suddenly too much for Wrex, and the wheels stopped moving. The motor was still whirring like crazy, but the dog didn't go anywhere. We even tried changing the batteries for brand new ones, but it didn't help"

May be it's a popular problem with Wrex the Dawg line? Because Mini and Original Dawgs have the same way those legs work.. (or may be im worng)

make sure the frontwheels are loose.i did hear some ratling sounds on the wheels.
eather way you have to open him.i hear alot off the plastik gears worn out.
i also see when wrex try to move forwart the front legs are comming in a hook angle,
and hold the wrex from moving.so see first if you can turn the frontwheels whit,
your finger.

Front wheels very loose and can spin quite fast for a few seconds if you spin them by your finger quickly. I tried it on many other sufraces.
But back wheels seem to be very weak. They stop even if there are so little "pressure" (like when you gently touch wheels by finger), not surprising they stop under the pressure of this toy's weight...
PS:
May be it's the batteries? My other heavy robot on wheels stops moving when he runs out of batteries but he can still spin wheels when you hold him up.
But i tried different ones. Right now it's Duracell C: L14/MN1400 - the best ones i could find...

i think it a gear problem cause off the ratling sound i hear.
second there are little brown things on the motors.these can be bad.
incase you need a motor i have plenty off .i dont need them.
do you have skype on your pc?its faster that way.

Okay thank you! I will add you and ask some questions about how to look inside of his legs to see some gears!

I have the exact same problem with the new-in-box one I just purchased.  What is the resolution for this?
