Thought this might give you a giggle.
I was initialy going to mount the speaker inside her case, but when I took it off, there was scant room to play with. Untill I can get my hands on a makerbot to give her ~literal~ plastic surgery on the boob area, I'm quite loath to break open the speaker ball, so went for the hotglue n stick method of mounting.
The speaker is connected via bluetooth to a laptop running robodance.exe to synch up her motions with the music. At the moment, as you can see she's only running in 'back up singer' mode as this was a test to make sure the idea was sound.
The music she sings is a Yamaha 'vocaloid' pack produced .ogg files, taken from a MIDI in, and recomposed for that format.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqZD5yAbAu0 she sings us the theme from James Bond 'Nobody Does It Better' in robacapella ;) (as it was too hard to work out the wording correctly, for me at least!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyjIn02uMzw & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRwXr26sx88 she sings us 'cars' by Gary Numan. Actual 'singing' this time ;) It is in two parts as my digi cam is made of fail & fairys wings.
Her third and final test was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgizpKmCjB0 the theme from 'Star Trek' cut short by failcam dying.
I intend to convert the score to the popular operatic work 'Carmen' get her a Spanish flouncey dress, and as best I can, emulate the motions of the main players with her, and do a robotic opera.
When the v2 gets the same treatment in a week or two, she'll have a strong male lead also :D The roboreptile can be the bull eh? Might need both laptops and another usbuirt though.
