Stereo Point Cloud using a Rovio

Hi guys, after collecting dust for a bit, I just started playing around with my Rovio.  I've been spending a bit of time working on 3D computer vision recently and decided to give a few things a try on a Rovio.

My first Rovio project is to create a 3D point cloud of the scene using stereo vision. Just incase you didn't know, stereo vision doesn't require a stereo camera.  You can actually do it using a single camera from two different locations.  The major downside is that there will be a scale ambiguity.  The initial results are not bad:

The biggest problem was finding a location with good uniform lighting.  Rovio's camera kinda sucks and things tend to be too dark, too bright, or too pixelated.  I hope to use this technique for obstacle detection/avoidence in the future.
